Arron Oberholser: What’s in the bag?

Arron Oblehouser: What's in the bag?

Did you know that Arron Oberholser is on Twitter? Not only is he on Twitter, he is quite active on Twitter. He is always talking about golf, and now that football season is here, you will see him posting a lot about the NFL. Speaking of Arron Oberholser, he lives here in Scottsdale and is an American professional golfer. He is originally from California, and attended San Jose State before he turned pro in 1998. Since then he has played on the PGA TOUR Canada, the Nationwide Tour, and even played on the PGA TOUR. He not only played on the PGA TOUR, he won the TOUR winning the 2006 AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am. He finished with an impressive -17 beating out Rory Sabbatini by 5 strokes.

In an effort to sharing more information about all of the great PGA professionals here in Scottsdale and in Las Vegas, we are going to start a new series about golf clubs. Not just golf clubs, but the clubs you will find in these pros’ golf bags. Since Arron lives right down the street from me, I wanted to start by featuring what you will find in his bag.

Driver: TaylorMade SLDR 10.5°, 44 1/2″ D-2 with an Aldila Tour Blue 65 TX shaft

3 wood: TaylorMade RocketBallz Stage 2 14.5° with an Aldila Tour Blue 75 X shaft

Hybrid: PING Anser 20° bent to 19.5° D-3 with an Aldila Tour Blue H85-TX.

Irons: PING i20 4-W with ZZ-65 shafts

Wedges: 50° PING Tour Gorge with an S-300 Sensicore shaft, 54° PING Tour Gorge, Titleist Vokey 60°

Putter: Titleist Scotty Cameron circle T “Naked” Newport

I was so impressed with what was in his bag, I asked him about his grips.

Grips: Lamkin REL Black 60 round 1+1.

Putter Grip: Scotty Cameron Circle T “Pistolini”.

Arron has 6 professional wins, but with a set of clubs like that (and you should see his swing) there is no doubt in my mind it won’t be his last. I would like to thank Arron for sharing what he has in the bag, and we are excited to see what hte future holds for him.
