The ultimate golf experience is coming this October. The former Indian Bend Course at Camelback Golf Club is currently undergoing a massive redesign. The renovation will cost $9 million and is being handled by Hurdzan Fry Environmental Golf Design. Hurdzan Fry is known for their environmentally sustainable designs and operations, and hopes to keep the ball rolling with this new 150-acre 18-hole golf course.
With the redesign, look for alternate tee locations, restructured holes, new cart paths, and a completely new topography. The new setting will offer golfers a memorable experience both on and off the course with awe-inspiring mountain backdrops, lush rolling fairways, and scenic water holes.
While they work on the new course, you can still test your skills on the lengthy Padre Course, designed by Arthur Hills. The Padre Course is open and you can get discounted tee times as the summer sun starts to heat the Valley. There is also an impressive practice facility there offering golf instruction from PGA teaching professionals, practice putting greens, chipping greens, and a range allowing you to hit every club in the bag.
